yeah....3rd day of guitar camp has passed... and unexpectedly, its damn fun!!! well, learned alot of stuff during the camp, and made more friends also...and the music director has also given us some scores to practice our basic techniques... half a year in genus have given me more than 2 years in NJ guitar ensemble... felt like i've wasted my time there...
The music director asked some question today, and I actually knew the answers, while no one spoke up... well, perhaps everyone as shy as me..lol... he also wanted us to imagine stories and charactors in the peices tt we are playing, which i tink shld really be the case, as we really do play quite monotonously sometimes... well, i tink not everyone can do tt... perhaps ppl interpret things differently... but it really helps for me lor... expression-wise.... I sat with him during dinner, and he was talking about the difference between musicians and normal ppl... He gave an example of a good guitar player just striking some strings slowly, but with such emotions that your hair will start to stand... musicians will appreciate what he is playing and know how good he is, while normal ppl will just think tt he's a lousy player, as he can't play fast...
well, i was in a friend's room practicing carolling for our xmas party on sunday. (its a tradition for the juniors to perform for the seniors) well, its very fun also.. ive always loved singing ma... (and did i tell anyone abt my carolling in orchard last last xmas? tt was damn fun also...its for some 24hr carolling marathon... whenever there's no one performing, me and my friends will be filling in the slots.. haha.... we dun sing very nicely actually... but we got a friend to play his flute, and anyway, the point is not to sound like professional chior members, but rather, just to make sure that the marathon is kept on...) they got some percussions for the songs, and i was having fun with the triangle... made a racket...lol... i love percussions also... actually, i love too many things.... grr....and they commented that my voice is good!!! hee... i was doing some variations with the songs they arranged, and they were saying tt i may be the only one who can hit the note.. the rest may go off-pitch..lol...
anyway, these few days very fun la... although i play until my fingers almost got blister and going relatively numb, its still a very worthwhile experience.....
